West Bengal is a land of creative expression which has produced men of artistic excellence and creative genius. Born on 9th June 1973, Dipto Narayan Chattopadhyay belongs to that that land. He began his pursuit for art from very childhood when he had barely started talking by embellishing the walls of his house with drawings and paintings using his father boot polish and mothers lipsticks. Presently a research scholar with “Raja Mansingh Tomar University”Gwalior, Dipto has done masters in Fine Arts with distinction from Jiwaji University Gwalior and bachelors in Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata. He also holds diploma in Visual Arts from Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. Dipto has always engaged himself in the wide arena of art and is in constant process of enhancing his sensibilities. His relief paintings with its subaltern expressionistic idiom carries a distinct insignia, has earned him quite an appreciation and laurels. He has exhibited his paintings in more than 500 solo as well as group exhibitions along with workshops and camps all over the globe, resulting in State awards along with international acclaims. His paintings are in collection of all the ambassadors of the European Union countries for their respective embassies and exclusively by the Ambassador of European Commission.

Dipto sojourn through more than 500 successful and critically acclaimed exhibitions and workshops show his voracious talent, extreme energy and insatiable creative thirst. On the path of fame he has experienced the art arena as an artist, curator, critic and most importantly above all as an astounding humanist. He has worked selflessly for the Save Child Fund of Ramkrishna Mission for seven years. Dipto has inspired and curated an exhibition involving the Tihar Jail Inmates, a unique and one of its kind endeavor in India in Nov. 2001 India, in 2001. He is persistently working for art awareness.
