Diploma in Fine Arts (D & P. LNM.), Govt College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, 1958; training in graphic art, Dusseldorf, Germany, 1968. Traveled widely in Germany, UK and France. Ex-Principal, Govt College of Art and Craft, Kolkata.

Many exhibitions in India and abroad since 1967.

Awards:

Award in Graphic Art, Calcutta University Institute, 1956. Award in Painting, Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata, 1973.

Present occupation:

Fulltime artist. Member, Art Advisory Committee and Charukala Parishad, Govt of West Bengal. Lives and works in Kolkata
