He was born in the year 1964. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the College of Art and Crafts, Kolkata, in 1987 and 1992 respectively. Most of his work features a labyrinthine pastiche of hues and he very effectlively uses them as tools to depict his larger than life themes. Sansanwal's works have been featured in several solo exhibitions, including those held at Arushi Arts, New Delhi, in 2007, 2005 and 2002; the Museum Gallery, Mumbai, in 2006; LTG Gallery, New Delhi, in 1999, 1996 and 1995; and Shridharani Gallery, New Delhi, in 1989. His work has also been featured in several group shows held at the Nehru Center in London between 2003 and 2007, and in a show of Indian Contemporary Art held in Yugoslavia in 2004.
